Br. John A. Reynolds, CFC
His initial teaching assignment was in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City, a few blocks off Broadway. He shared with his students a lifelong fascination with theater. His art classes and his own art captured the excitement of the theater district.
The sight of the a wrecking ball destroying the classic Helen Hayes Theater inspired his thesis exhibit at Catholic University capturing the magic of an era that was soon to be lost. His huge canvases and broad strokes of the 80’s have been replaced by more manageable sizes suited to an engaging pointillism.
The picture at the right brother Reynolds points out some of his Broadway Theater Collection on display in the Paul Verni Art Center at Iona Preparatory School in New Rochelle, NY.
